In 1951, four small lightbulbs flickered to life in the Idaho desert and changed the world forever. Now, after five decades, Idaho National Laboratory is leading the most ambitious nuclear energy push since Apollo 11. Meet the scientists, engineers, and companies building the reactors that will power America’s future.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a total of $5 million to Radiant Industries, Inc. and Westinghouse to progress their microreactor designs for testing in the new Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments (DOME) test bed at Idaho National Laboratory.
This webinar reviewed the designs of heat-pipe microreactors, steady-state and transient simulation of MAGNET by SAM, to explore the performance limit by heat transfer and temperature distribution.
