Office of Nuclear Energy Releases Request for Information and Notice of Intent for Nuclear Training and Workforce Development Program

The Office of Nuclear Energy released a Request for Information and Notice of Intent (RFI/NOI) to seek ideas, input, comments, feedback, and recommendations from interested parties for future competitive workforce development programs focused on nuclear safety training for the workforce that supports the continued safe operation of existing nuclear power plants. Responses to this RFI/NOI are due August 26, 2024 by 5:00 PM EST. A courtesy copy of the RFI/NOI can be found here.
The Office of Nuclear Energy will also be hosting an RFI Feedback Session for the new Nuclear Reactor Safety Training and Workforce Development program. This event will be held on August 21st and will provide a forum to discuss the language from the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024; anticipated funding; and the Request for Information currently available for community input and ideas.
