Through a Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Nuclear Energy University Program (NEUP) University Nuclear Research Infrastructure Revitalization Award, Purdue University’s School of Nuclear Engineering will be hosting a three-day Nuclear Outreach Program for High School Teachers from July 14-16, 2026 in West Lafayette, IN. The program will be focused on the fundamentals of nuclear energy and career pathways in nuclear industry, including lectures, lab activities at Purdue’s PUR-1 nuclear reactor, and facility tours.

DOE Announces Site Selection for AI Data Center and Energy Infrastructure Development on Federal Lands

Today, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it has selected Idaho National Laboratory, Oak Ridge Reservation, Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, and Savannah River Site to move forward with plans to invite private sector partners to develop cutting-edge AI data center and energy generation projects.
