ABSTRACT: Based in Greer, South Carolina, Elementl Power is an advanced nuclear development company that identifies, acquires, and prepares locations throughout the U.S. to accommodate the deployment of advanced reactors. Their mission is to reduce risk and drive efficiency in the early stages of the nuclear development process.

Elementl is evaluating dozens of locations in the U.S. for siting suitability of advanced reactor technologies. While using siting criteria from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and guidance documents from the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is essential, determining whether a potential site conforms to primary exclusionary criteria is difficult to perform over a broad region. To reduce project risk and drive project economics, significant data analysis is needed.

Elementl will work with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) subject matter experts and the Oak Ridge Siting Analysis for power Generation Expansion (OR-SAGE) tool to assist in the identification of potential advanced nuclear development locations across specific regions in the United States.
