2026 Nuclear Facilities and Safeguards Experience (NFASE)
October 5-9, 2026 / European Lowlands
NFASE 2026 is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) in partnership with the European Commission (Euratom Safeguards). The five-day experience is designed to strengthen advanced and small modular reactor developers’ understanding of European regulatory requirements and international nuclear safeguards.
This is a rare opportunity to:
- Meet with European regulators at Euratom headquarters in Luxembourg and tour five leading European nuclear facilities, including the Borssele Nuclear Power Plant, Central Organisation for Radioactive Waste (COVRA), Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group (NRG) PALLAS, and Urenco’s enrichment plant in the Netherlands, as well as Framatome’s advanced nuclear fuel fabrication facility in Germany.
- Engage directly with European industry leaders and technical experts “in the wild” to learn how they implement safeguards and see best practices that will prepare you for success in the international nuclear market.
- See how national authorities, Euratom Safeguards, and the International Atomic Energy Agency implement safeguards
across the nuclear fuel cycle.
