Nuclear Facilities and Safeguards Experience (NFASE)
July 8-11, 2025 • Toronto, Canada

NFASE is hosted by the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) with support from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). The 4-day experience is designed to help A/SMR developers meet the highest standards of nonproliferation required to compete in the global nuclear market.

This is a rare opportunity to:

  • Take insider tours of three of Canada’s nuclear facilities at McMaster University, Cameco and Ontario Power Generation.
  • Engage directly with advanced nuclear industry experts to better understand — and embrace — effective and efficient international nuclear safeguards.
  • Experience how safeguards are implemented by national authorities and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The registration of interest is open now and will close June 15: The Nuclear Facilities and Safeguards Experience (NFASE)

Please note that DOE/NNSA will cover all course fees and local transportation between facilities; participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging.
